Mardi Gras at KatManDu Trenton

It's been a long time since I went to a Mardi Gras party at KatManDu in Trenton. The party started at 8pm, and ended at 2am. There wasn't a lot of people. I was bored at the start, so I played online on Mario Kart DS, 6 wins and 4 losses. And after that I took pics, cause that is what I enjoy doing. So after a little while, I got a mask, and a handful of beads. I took some of pics that makes the party worthwhile. I thought it would be cancelled cause of the snowstorm, but it didn't. Hopefully, there would be a lot more people to have fun with, and all because of a Facebook invite.

My top games of 2009

We are already in the year 2010, but it's tradition for me to list my top games for the year during the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Her are my choices for 2009.

Nintendo DS:

3. Yu-gi-oh 5D's
I play it for a couple of months, but the story mode is too hard to complete.

2. Mario vs Donkey Kong: Minis March Back
Found out about that game on G4's E3 coverage. Easy to play, hard to master. And you can create your own levels after you finish the whole game.

1. Peggle Dual Shot
The most addictive game on the DS. 2 games for the price of one. Although there's no replay feature and no Marina with her Electrobolt, it's still fun to play on the road.

Downloadable Games:

5. Outrun Online Arcade
This game is a classic since the arcade. Now with online play and achievements. 5 goals to race to, but I play with custom soundtracks. But I still need to clear all 15 stages from start to finish with fewer or no crashes.

4. Sonic & Knuckles
Alongside Sonic 3, this game has achievements that can be played in two playthroughs. I still need to get the last achievement for all chaos emeralds.

3. TMNT Turtles in Time: Re-Shelled
I wanted to play the game since my high school years. Now on Live Arcade, and fun to play. Updated graphics, online play, and a survival mode (which is hard). Most people won't like the updated version, but I do.

2. Marvel vs. Capcom 2
One of the best arcade fighters comes to Live Arcade. Much easier to play with a Fighter Stick and a SF4 control pad. It gets harder as you advance, though.

1. Peggle Deluxe
C'mon, you knew it, too. I love it, and it's fun to play online. Just like the DS version, it has replay value.

Xbox 360:

5. Sonic's UGC
Over 40 games, and unlockable goodies. It's a blast from the past.

4. Street Fighter 4
The best fighting game from Capcom. 25 characters to choose from, and an online championship mode. Can't wait till spring when Super SF4 debuts.

3 Guitar Hero 5
Who wouldn't want to rock out with avatars? Plus Party Play mode for people to jump in-jump out in the middle of a song. Let's not forget Rockfest mode. 85 songs, are you kidding me?

2. Band Hero
65 pop hits, with karaoke mode, plus unlocking Adam Levine, No Doubt, and award winning singer Taylor Swift. It's the only game where I snag the Treasure Hunt achievement. When it comes to rythym games, this is my kind of game for 2009.

Bonus Honorable Mention
Lego Rock Band
Downloadable content playable for family friendly play. Adult can now play with Legos thanks to this game. I'm getting started, and earned some achievements, and now getting a chance to play on drums, with the automatic kick pedal on. Hopefully, I will complete Story mode from start to finish, not counting Endless Setlist.

1. Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection
A pinball wizard's favorite collection. 13 tables plus achievements and a worldwide leaderboard. I fell in love with this game when I played it on the Wii less than 2 years ago. Now I have a top 10 overall score on the table Funhouse. I will keep playing till I get all the achievements, as well as practice on Tales of the Arabian Knights, Medieval Madness, and No Good Gophers.

That's my list for top games of 2009. Hopefully I'll have a new list for 2010.
